Encouraged Challenge Accepted: I Am Writing A Book

Over time I've received a great deal of encouragement and many requests to write a book sharing my experiences in light of my personal challenges.  This support has come from my wife, children, family, friends, and includes members of my cyber family.  People believe I have something of value and benefit to share with others.  I took the plunge and began this project on January 11, 2011.  The title is, "Evaluate, Adapt, and Overcome: Accept No Limits in Life," "Craig recounts his story of coming to terms with total disability and outlines specific advice that helped him along the way."  My goal is to have the project complete and to the publisher by the end of June.  In the mean time, I will just go with the flow.

The key principle reasons and motivation behind this book follow, "Think and Grow Rich," by Napoleon Hill. Allowing others to learn what successful people have done so the reader may duplicate those same principles netting their own success.  My reason for writing this book is to share the time, effort, learning from "trial and error" and gaining my experience in life by "doing it the hard way first," taking advantage of learning life's lessons from someone else’s experiences.  I was able to learn and apply key principles of living life on my terms.

OK! Here's the bottom line contained within this book, I share what took me a great deal of time, aggravation, heartache and a good deal of money finding ways to make the challenges easier and the results more effective.......the hard way.  While accomplishing all this, I was dealing with some serious personal adversity thrown into the mix.

Learning from my mistakes, experiences, principles and methods to overcome a multitude of physical and mental challenges, I've learned we will derive the results we are looking for; rather they are positive or negative.  In addition, the hardest most ruthless battles on earth occur within the seven inches between our ears. That is where the war is won or lost.

My hope is you might discover examples and methods to design a life instead of simply making a living, if this is your goal. This worked for me by dealing with adversity through learning to evaluate, adapt, and overcome. Why? Because I now look at life as if there are no problems only challenges. I am guided by some key principles including, “Set no limits and accept no limits," "Do or do not. There is no try." ~ Yoda. We are all limited only by our imagination and by not allowing others permission to determine limits on our lives.  I admit, a simple concept to discuss but not easy to accomplish.

Finally, the last chapters, 10 through 12, deal specifically with the proof and demonstration of how I have taken full responsibility for my life. I am living life on my terms regardless of what limits others may try to place on my abilities.

My goal is not to become a famous author, to top the New York Times Best Seller List, or even to make money.  If I receive enough positive feedback sincerely indicating further sharing of this book, I will then take steps to place it into full production.  My goal is to price it allowing the greatest number of people to be able to purchase and benefit from the knowledge and experiences presented.  Like any other type of personal development, if you are on the journey and ready to hear the message you will recognize it when it is presented.  This is a book designed for the effective use of a day-glow yellow highlighter.  I will keep you informed as to my progress.
